Worldbeat Club Mondial ♪♫♪ December 2016

Gosh, it was pooring down on December 11, 2016! But I was not stopping home because the night promised to be really nice at "Club Mondial" hosted by World Beat Bremen e. V., sponsored by Funkaus Europa and held at Mensa Academia courtesy of the Bremen University of Arts - Music Branch. Luckily, I found a parking spot right outside the venue and when I arrived the party was already in full swing!

Worldbeat Club Mondial ♪♫♪ November 2016

November 12, 2016 - It was time to warm up from the almost freezing cold outside at "Club Mondial" hosted by World Beat Bremen e. V., sponsored by Funkaus Europa and held at Mensa Academia courtesy of the Bremen University of Arts - Music Branch. When I arrived I was quite surprised to find a young man charging entrance fees sitting outside! I later learnt that he is a polar explorer (scientist)!

Please check out the flyer for the DJ-listing. The crowd was a mix of ages, nationalities and temperaments, a lot of whom didn't want to be photographed. I always do my best to not capture you if you don't want to be seen in the pictures.

Worldbeat Club Mondial ♪♫♪ October 2016

It's my birthday! October 1, 2016 - I'm invited to take pictures at "Club Mondial" hosted by World Beat Bremen e. V., sponsored by Funkaus Europa and held at Mensa Academia courtesy of the Bremen University of Arts - Music Branch.

Apparently, there were several other parties on this long weekend when we celebrate the German Re-Unification on October 3, which explained why the venue was not full to the brim but it gave everyone ample space to dance to their hearts' content which the guests absolutely did.

Please check out the line-up in the flyer above for further info. The DJs were all in fine form and rocked both dancefloors. As usual at this event I noticed quite a few happy couples and I thought I would feature them today. I'm single but I am happy to see them enjoying each other and dancing together - expecially when Latin music is being played.

Worldbeat Club Mondial ♪♫♪ July 2016

In anticipation I made this GIF with photos from the last event.

July 2, 2016 - On this day the German football team entered the the quarter-finals of the European Championship in a game vs. Italy which was more riveting than any thriller I had ever seen. They had not won against Italy in 50 years in a larger tournament and played 1 : 1. They finally won 6 : 5 after 18 (!) penalties were shot. Right away I made my way into town to attend "Club Mondial" hosted by World Beat Bremen e. V., sponsored by Funkaus Europa and held at Mensa Academia courtesy of the Bremen University of Arts - Music Branch.

This was not an easy task as the town centre was blocked off for public viewing and the other route I then decided to take was also blocked by the masses celebrating the advancement of the German team into the semi-finals. I feel, I arrived at the right time as most other guests were also just arriving.

Worldbeat Club Mondial ♪♫♪ May 2016

Since I had to miss the second party of the year, I was happy to attend "Club Mondial" on May 7, 2016 hosted by World Beat Bremen e. V. sponsored by Funkaus Europa and held at Mensa Academia courtesy of the Bremen University of Arts - Music Branch.

As usual the DJs (the line-up is listed in the flyer above) played a great music mix and had the crowd dancing on both floors. Here is a sample from the Deep House specialist Biljana:

To my dismay I have now learnt that Picasa will no longer be supported by Google since they took it over and, therefore, I will not be putting my photos in a slide show until Google have refined their "animation"-widget or I think of another solution. Anyhow, Flash and all Flash-wigdets will be abandoned soon - as far as I know.

So it's time to move on from there... For the moment and until the above mentioned situation is resolved, I will be providing a link to my photos on my Facebook Photo page below where you can see the photos even if you are not on Facebook:

Worldbeat Club Mondial ♪♫♪ January 2016

"Club Mondial" hosted by World Beat Bremen e. V. sponsored by Funkaus Europa and held at Mensa Academia underneath the University of Arts - Music Branch is well on its way to becoming a staple in Bremen's nightlife and party-scene. The January edition was held on January 16, 2016.

We had had the first snow this winter so it was expected to be fairly empty because people prefer to stay at home on nights like this. However, to my surprise, quite a few guests had arrived by the time I got to the venue and more were steadily pouring in until around 2 a.m. Nevertheless, there was ample space to dance for those who attended this party for that purpose.

The music was great (please refer to the flyer above for the line-up) and the mixed crowd was pleasant. Because I am always curious, I found out that one young man from Uganda was out for the first time ever in Germany. I hope it was a great start for him. :-)

Worldbeat Club Mondial ♪♫♪ December 2015

World Beat Bremen e. V. hosted another "Club Mondial" sponsored by Funkaus Europa and held at Mensa Academia, the trusted venue underneath the University of Arts - Music Branch on December 12, 2015

This time the organisers had changed the set up a little and ~ I assume because it was a very rainy night ~ the venue was not as packed out as the last time. It was pleasantly crowded and we could dance and enjoy the music and lights without bumping into someone every two seconds. :-) Please refer to the flyer for the line-up!

Worldbeat Club Mondial

World Beat Bremen e. V. invited me to document their party "Club Mondial" which was sponsored by Funkaus Europa and held at Mensa Academia, a very nice venue underneath the University of Arts - Music Branch on October 24, 2015.

Because the venue is not super-sized it was totally packed out and one could hardly move when I arrived. They do have a very nice courtyard but being the end of October, there really was no incentive to use it - even though it was not a rainy night. When we needed a breather - or a smoke in some cases - we used the yard in front of the building which is completely covered in white tarpaulin (or plastic) for renovation at the moment.

Well, what can I say, the party was a scorcher, the guests were in the best of spirits and danced to their hearts' content when they found the space to do so. The line-up was as follows:

World Beat Bremen Latino Nuevo

For "Latino Nuevo" I was asked to take pictures by the by World Beat Bremen e. V.-crew. It took place on January 17, 2015 Bürgerhaus Weserterassen, the usual, beautiful location by the River Weser in Bremen.

The music of varying styles is played on three different dancefloors by varying DJs and the emphasis was on Latin music as the title suggests. I am not very familiar with this genre and all I can say is, the vibe was great, couples were really dancing with each other and some had great skills and made their dancing look as easy as one - two - three.... a bit like this:
