Reggae Nights # 115

Reggae Nights in June was nice again with Roots Ashanti, Calabash and Ras Marcus on the decks! I danced to my heart's content until the flash broke off my camera and I had to go home.

Many thanks to everyone for being sweet! See you all next time even though I might have to come without my camera...

Sentinel at Moments in Bremen

Sentinel were at Moments in Bremen on May 27, 2012! What a wicked night it was! When I arrived Nadia and Elmar were in full swing already, playing one hit after the other - a lot of which were dubplates of course! Later on their new MC Olde took the stage and created a continued great vibe, considering it was only his second time in this position!

Huge big ups to Naaaaaaaaaaaaadia, whom I had never heard select before. I know her primarily through her activities as a CEO for HelpJamaica. Nadia, you're the best!!

Many thanks to King Ralph for looking after me and your helping hand and Frank, who runs the show, for bringing Sentinel to Bremen and to everyone who was there with me, dancing and having a great time!

Reggae Nights # 114

Reggae Nights on May 12, 2012 took place at Römer in the centre of Bremen once again. Entry was free and it seems to be a recipe for success. Many people came and the little venue was full to the brim. I could hardly walk around and take pictures. However, as usual, I did get a few:

I certainly hope to see you all again next time when my camera will hopefully be focussing again properly! :-)

Etana - Wifey

I absolutely love the Heart & Soul Riddim produced by Notice Productions in Jamaica. One of my favourite singers of the day, Hezron, has the song "Can't Come Between" on this riddim and it's one of my absolute favourites right now. Close behind is the song "Wifey" by the most wonderful female vocalists I have ever met: Etana The Stong One. She deserves this name because her voice is so strong, it blows you away and she has the personality to match! I was lucky enough to get a little jingle from her so I made this upload on YouTube.

Bugs' Birthday Bash

On April 14, 2012 I was invited to Bugs's Birthday Bash in Hannover where I happened to meet so many lovely people as well as lots of people I knew already from Bremen and other parts of the country amongst them the wonderful artist Ray Darwin and members of his band. Bugs' Rebel Sound played a very nice warm-up for Jamrock Sound from Amsterdam with DJ Waxfiend at the controls and DJ D Masta at the mic. We all had a great evening with one boom tune after the next!
