Bugs' Birthday Bash

On April 14, 2012 I was invited to Bugs's Birthday Bash in Hannover where I happened to meet so many lovely people as well as lots of people I knew already from Bremen and other parts of the country amongst them the wonderful artist Ray Darwin and members of his band. Bugs' Rebel Sound played a very nice warm-up for Jamrock Sound from Amsterdam with DJ Waxfiend at the controls and DJ D Masta at the mic. We all had a great evening with one boom tune after the next!

Magnolia

The magnolia trees are blossoming beautifully right now. This is a blossom I was given by my neighbour from their tree some time ago and I thought it was so beautiful, I had to freeze it in time. I hope you enjoy it too!

Have a very happy Easter holiday! The sun is shining here, it's fairly cold but still a bright day. Here is an egg I designed some time ago. It's drawn with pencil directly on the egg shell.

Reggae by the River Part 2

Reggae by the River at Hafenklang, near Fischmarkt in Hamburg is an annual event held by Queen Easy, one of the management of www.reggaespace.com. The DJs playing at this event are all playing on internet radio regularly. The artists are attending the website regularly and all the guests are regular listeners there. The delicious vegetarian food was provided by Micho.

Big ups to everyone who attended some of whom are Lilian Gold, Donald Minott, Linford Nugent, Caroline Castelli aka Sista Caro, Dirk IRebel, Mighty Howard, 'Rootical', Yen Dis, Mr. Feelgood, RootzFaya, MassiveR, DJ 745, Selecta YoungLocks, Sam U Roy, the Dingolay Dancers, Ascona, Smuggler, Dags, Guddy, Colognemassive, Yardriddim, Vienna, Andrea Luise, Sista Gardy, Reggaelady, Climbnotrees, Jahmix, Tosh, Micho, Strobel, Ammi, Anja, Strobel, Andre, Winston, Micha, Imsa, King Kryzon, Mark Majestic, Robby, Malik, Mike, Princess Fari, Christian, the Hafenklang Crew and everyone else.

It was a real live radio show, even the little icons drawn on paper were included! BOOOM! ... lol... Personally, I was happy to see the Lestafari crew again after more than a year. It was lovely for real! Big thanks to Queen Easy for organising everything and for shocking the massive by playing a dancehall segment and bringing on the wicked dancers!

Also, an award was announced by Yendis, who is also management of ReggaeSpace. It is called Seed New Artist Award and the winners are Baby Lion and my friend Roxy Singh from Trinidad who could not be there in person but listened to the live stream of the dance all night. Congratulations to both winners! I may be able to add an interview of both with Yendis at a later time.

Happy Birthday, Ramzy!

I joined Ramzy and his friends at his party in the early morning hours of on March 10, 2012, his actual birthday when he was just showered with food and drink, anything they had left at the party! So Ramzy got changed into something else his friend had brought and we went outside to take some pictures of everyone.

It was nice meeting everyone and I was happy I got away without getting showered myself! :-)

My favourite selector on Reggae4us Zigedub has his first interview with his favourite UK vocalist who happens to also be my favourite and who was once again nominated "Best British Male Vocalist" at B.R.I.A. (British Reggae Industry Awards)!

Reggae Nights # 112

March 10, 2012 “Römer” saw another successful dance "Free Entry". As usual, Roots Ashanti and Calabash entertained the massive with the latest and greatest hits. Here are the photos!

I had a wonderful time dancing and meeting all the lovely people who come to Reggae Nights regularly and some who have been the first time! Nuff love to you and I do hope to see you all again next month on the 14th of April!
